Bernardo Lepe is the recipient of our Exemplary Employee Award for September here at East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital. The award recognizes employee commitment to patients, family and co-workers through acts of caring, compassion and excellent customer service.
The award carries with it a certificate of recognition, a $100 gift card and use of a premium parking space at our hospital. In addition, each honoree will be featured in our Pulse newsletter as an Exemplary Employee, and honoree photos will be displayed on plaques in a public area of our hospital.
Lepe joined our hospital in July 1991. He is a Facilities Engineer in our Plant Maintenance department, who was nominated by three co-workers who had this to say:
“Bernardo is so helpful. He’s the best in the West. He helps with transportation, kitchen, engineering. What doesn’t he do??”
“Mr. Bernardo is our Jack-of-all-trades. He is very reliable. You see him painting walls at East LA Doctors Hospital, doing kitchen work, fixing anything broken from the ED. This is a well-deserved award for him. He is always polite, greeting people and smiling!”
“Bernardo is hard-working with multiple skills. He is always willing to go the extra mile.”
