While at Tulane, she served as president of the Latin American Student Association and as Latino Community Liaison to Luke’s House Medical Clinic.

A second generation Peruvian American, Dr. McKay has a deep dedication to serving the Hispanic women of East Los Angeles. “I intend to use my clinical skills and public health background for maximum impact in the community,” she said.

“Communities have better health outcomes when they receive care from providers with whom they identify. I hope to be that missing link in East Los Angeles. My goal is two-fold: to empower my patients to make informed healthcare choices and to provide a full range of high quality, evidence-based clinical care.”

Dr. McKay offers the full range of obstetrics and gynecological services for women of all ages. Her goal is to help her patients make informed decisions about their healthcare over their lifetime, improving health outcomes for patients young and old.

“I knew as a teenager that I wanted to become a doctor—I loved biology,” she said. “And then my public health studies helped color my understanding of health and medical issues. I’m truly giddy about this unique opportunity to make connections in the community as I create this new clinic to serve women.”
