Hilda Solis award winner

East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital (ELADH) was recently recognized for their dedicated service and numerous contributions that benefited the residents of East Los Angeles, Salazar Park Senior Center, including the park’s Spring Grab ‘n’ Go event. The award was presented from Hilda Solis, Supervisor First District to Martha A Zuniga, Business Development Manager for Pipeline Health LA.

The Grab ‘n’ Go lunch program distributed approximately 100-150 lunches per week to area seniors.

“Community involvement is at the heart of what we do here at East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital, as well as our other three Pipeline hospitals in the area. With that being said, it’s heartwarming to be recognized for what we were able to do during the pandemic to help keep our neighbors healthy,” said Zuniga.

In the past, the hospital donated turkeys for Thanksgiving and throughout the year, contributed to various senior events in the East Los Angeles neighborhood. However, with the Covid 19 restrictions over the last 14 months, the hospital was only able to contribute to the Grab ‘n’ Go program. Prior to the pandemic, they would donate approximately 350 Grab ‘n’ Go lunches per week to seniors.
