Staff at East LA Doctors Hospital were treated to a Super Bowl Barbecue Feb. 9, three days before the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles with a close score of 38-35. The menu featured hamburgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers and hotdogs.
Hospital CEO Rick Rufino, CNO June Dumaguet, and Pipeline Health CEO Bob Allen greeted employees attending the midday event. Another event followed at 6:30 p.m. for the evening shift.
Cooking and serving their fellow employees were Eduardo Gonzalez, engineering director, and Nancy Penaloza, case management director, both behind the grill, and helpers Noemi Gomez, perinatal director, and Rosa Rivera-Bonilla, OR director.
