Health Screenings Help East Los Angeles Community

East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital kicked off an important community health initiative Sept. 28 with the first of four scheduled health screenings.

“These screenings are offered free of charge to our community members as a means of helping them take control of their health,” explained Marco Torres, system director of clinic operations.

For the series of health screening events, offerings include blood pressure and glucose screenings, body mass index measurements and educational information about preventive care and healthy habits.
